Mission Statement (1995)

Eighth Street Mennonite Church is a Christian community rooted in Anabaptism that appreciates diversity and is devoted to worshiping God and to extending God’s love to the congregation, to Goshen, and to the world.

Vision Statement and AGAPE Goals (2020)

With courage and humility,

we strive to more fully celebrate the image of God in all persons and we commit to building relationships with our neighbors near and far by finding common ground and removing barriers to loving every body.

Welcoming Statement

We celebrate the image of God in persons of every age, ability, race, ethnicity, gender and sexual orientation. We strive to find common ground on which to build relationships with our neighbors near and far. We publicly affirm that LGBTQ persons are welcome to participate in the full membership and ministry of our congregation, including baptism, marriage, leadership, and pastoral ministry.
